  One lot consisting of a crash tested 2004 Mack CH613 Vision. 397614 miles; blue with an AC427 diesel turbo-charged ASET engine and an Eaton 10-speed transmission and long range fuel tanks (145 LT and 68 RT gallons). Vehicle was used to research the possibility of Cumins engine fires from high-pressure fuel-line leaks on the “cold-side” of the engine. This tractor was not a complaint vehicle and had 208 heavy load dynamic tests to determine maximum engine temperatures. Testing conducted on open road up-grade at gross and on Skid Pad coupled to drag truck. Substantial openings were cut in the hood and right foot well of the cab floor for infrared camera views of the hot surfaces (roughly patched). Thermocouples are still in place. *** Vehicle will be sold as “not to ever be titled for highway” use.
